THE NOAH BROOKS COALITION

Founded in the summer of 2018, The Noah Brooks Coalition have been playing together for the past seven years. The group was formed by drummer Noah Brooks while he was a freshman studying Jazz Performance at Northern Illinois University.

In the Winter of 2018, The Noah Brooks Coalition went into the studio for the very first time as a group and recorded their debut ep. This self-titled ep was officially released on January 1st of 2019 and featured an array of young Chicago musicians. This music highlighted the unique sound and style of the group with its arrangement of songs from many different genres. Roy Hargrove's Top of My Head was a featured track, as well as a modern take on Nina Simone's folk song Lil' Liza Jane, and a cover of French-Canadian pop singer Charlotte Cardin's song Big Boy.

After spending much of 2019 and 2020 playing shows around the Midwest, The Noah Brooks Coalition took their next step in solidifying themselves as a band. In April of 2021, the Noah Brooks Coalition recorded their first full-length studio record In The Night. This debut record for the group featured eight original compositions by various members of the group. This album continued to highlight the unique sound in their music by taking inspiration from different musical genres. In The Night was officially released on September 4th, 2021.

To celebrate the release of their first studio album, The Noah Brooks Coalition went on their first tour in 2021. This tour spanned across four states in the Midwest and helped the band reach an even wider audience.

The Noah Brooks Coalition continued to release new music with their singles No Closer (2023) and Late Nights (2024). These tracks explored even further the idea of mixing Jazz with Pop music.

The Noah Brooks Coalition's second studio album is currently in the works and plans to continue to explore the idea of mixing Jazz with Pop music in hopes of helping the tradition of Jazz find a wider audience.
